A.A.S.K. is a new, not-for-profit organization that raises funds and collects art supplies for Asheville City and Buncombe County classrooms, city programs, and art groups in need of supplies and materials.
Why Art Supplies?
The value of community educational programs that focus on hands-on learning benefits our youth in ways that are immeasurable. Math, geometry, chemistry, and hand and eye coordination are just a few of the things learned and practiced when making / creating art.
Our Mission
With budgets having been slashed to record lows, many local school art programs which once had a designated art room/space have been reduced to a singular wheeled art cart to be transported from classroom to classroom.
Asheville Art Supplies for Kids serves as a third party organization to raise funds, purchase art materials, and collect and distribute donated items to art and educational programs and classrooms throughout Buncombe county.
Contributions
Have extra craft or art supplies just hanging out in your basement or closet? Recently hosted a theme party or shower and don’t know what do with all your left over decorating supplies? Do you or your family have surplus hobby supplies that you no longer feel you can use? Let us take them off your hands!!
A.A.S.K. collects the following supplies to disburse to local teachers and program leaders in our area. We will coordinate a pick-up from up from you and give you a charitable donation receipt.
